I would say, normally, the answer to that is quarterly. You could make the argument that you don't want the strategic plan to exist in a parallel universe to running your business, so you want to try to create a lot of interface between the normal running of the business and your strategy; but, you probably want to take a relatively formal look at progress on a quarterly basis.
